Teaser Tuesday: The Nine Lives of Christmas by Sheila Roberts

TEASER TUESDAYS :
hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading ~

Shoot for the moon. Merilee drove away from the mall in a daze. What was holding her back, really? Only herself. And what did she have to lose by taking a few chances? some pride, perhaps. But how much more pride would she gain if she started really taking on life, and love, aggressively?

About The Nine Lives of Christmas by Sheila Roberts:

When a guy is in trouble, he starts making deals with his Creator…and Ambrose the cat is no exception. In danger of losing his ninth and final life, Ambrose makes a desperate plea. He’ll do anything—anything!—if he can just survive and enjoy a nice long, final life. His prayer is answered when a stranger comes along and saves him, and now it looks like he has to hold up his end of the bargain.

The stranger turns out to be a fire fighter named Zach, the quintessential commitment- phobe who’s in need of some serious romantic help. If Ambrose can just bring Zach together with Merilee, the nice lady who works at Pet Palace, it’s bound to earn him a healthy ninth life. Unfortunately for Ambrose, his mission is a lot harder than he ever anticipated. Now it’s going to take all his feline wiles—and a healthy dose of Christmas magic—to bring them all together in time for the holidays.

Teaser Tuesday: Baby, It's Cold Outside by Susan May Warren

TEASER TUESDAYS :
hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading ~

Realistically, by New Year's someone might come looking for her. But with Christmas upon them... and Gordy wouldn't dare venture over from his side of the pond.

Dottie had done a thorough search of the cellar and found nothing useful - no peach preserves, no droplets of water trickling down the stone foundation of the house, not even a crowbar left forgotten on the dirt floor.

About Baby, It's Cold Outside by Susan May Warren:

Dottie Morgan has no desire to share her home or her heart over the Christmas holidays. After all, her Christmas spirit froze over when Dottie lost her son in World War II. But when a blizzard of the decade traps Dottie in her home with four near strangers, she just might discover that opening her door might also open her heart to a Christmas miracle and a new reason to celebrate Christmas.

Monte Carlo on DVD (Starring Salena Gomez)... Great Fun For Girls of Any Age

If you are looking for a fun girly movie (great for girls of all ages) this is a great one.  I had a blast watching it, and it also has my 15 year old niece's approval.

Grace, her step-sister and her best friend go on a post-high school graduation trip to Paris, where their dream vacation starts out great and turns into a touristy nightmare of keeping up with everyone else's packed schedules.  They miss their tour bus at one stop, get drenched in the rain, and end up at a posh hotel where Grace is mistaken for a wealthy (and spoiled) Paris socialite.

Suddenly, the girls touristy vacation turns into a humorous and luxurious walk in someone else's shoes (literally).  While Grace is off pretending to be someone else (and make a difference for a charity event), her step-sister falls in love, and her best friend finds out that all is not always as it seems for the rich, and she may have had it pretty good back home.

Without giving too much away, I'll just say that it was a feel-good movie, that won't leave you crying at the end (unless you are sappy for a happy ending), and that it will take you to some beautiful sites in and around Paris and Monte Carlo.

Note: I was hoping for some sort of musical scenes in which Salena Gomez got to sing... but not the case this time around... maybe next time??  :)

Perfect for tweens, teens, and girls of ANY age because it is both cute and fun.  No objectionable content from my perspective (no bad language, no sex, no drugs, etc)
